Welcome to Grace Fellowship Church!

We'd love for you to join us for one of our Lord's Day worship gatherings. Here are some answers to some questions you might have about what to expect:

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: No, we invite you to come as you are. You'll see everything from suits and ties to jeans and polos.

Q: How long is a worship service, and what is it like?
A: Our Lord's Day morning worship gathering is typically two hours. Our time usually opens with one of the men of the church reading a Psalm, followed by a time of corporate prayer, singing, and giving. We then hear an expositional sermon from God's Word, the Bibleusually from one of our elders, and sometimes another man of the church. We then conclude our time with more singing, and a benediction.

Q: What is your music like?
A: Music is such a powerful and important part of Christian life and worship, and we want our corporate singing as a church to align with the purpose for which God intends it.

The apostle Paul commanded the church to be "addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs," (Eph. 5:19). For this reason, we aim to ensure that the voices of the saints are the prominent instruments on display as we worship together. It's a wonderful thing to hear the voices of our brothers and sisters echoing in our ears as we praise the Lord with one heart and one voice. We are jealous to maintain an atmosphere in which we are worshiping God together as one body, as opposed to each individual having his or her own, isolated, emotional experience. But this is not to say that our worship ought not be vibrant, and our emotions engaged, as we lift holy hands together in worshipping our Savior!

In addition, we aim to ensure that our songs are first and foremost filled with biblically rich truth which will inform our minds and encourage our hearts. Most of our songs our sung from paper hymnals found under each seat, and we introduce new songs on paper handouts from time-to-time.

Q: What about my kids?
A: Well, bring them along, of course! We believe in worshipping the Lord together as one body with our families, so our children join us for our worship gathering. We have a cry room for nursing mothers or children who need to step out. While it's completely normal for parents to step out as needed with their children, rest assured that the noise of normal parenting life is a sound we love to hear, and is no bother at all!
